Bofinger Barbecue Smokehouse first opened in the NDG neighborhood of Montreal in 2007. Our goal was to introduce authentic Southern Style BBQ to Canadians.

At Bofinger, we prepare all our food with great care. Our famous NATURALLY Smoked Meats are prepared in a true fusion of Southern/Quebec style: Dry rubbed and smoked with maple wood for up to 24 hours. That’s right! Our famous smokers are cooking up delicious barbecue while you sleep.

In today’s fast paced world, it’s comforting to know that there are certain things that just can’t be rushed. At Bofinger, we cook it low and we cook it slow. Then, to ignite your taste buds, it is basted with your choice of homemade sauces. Our fast-casual service allows us to dish up our succulent cooking quickly and at affordable prices.

It’s no wonder we went from nearly unknown status, to being picked as one of Montreal’s “top 10” casual dining establishments in less than one year!

Bofinger was the brainchild of Stephan Nanni and Kyle Kerr. Back in the mid 80’s, both guys made their first appearances on the Montreal food scene. Kyle has been serving dazzling Southern fare ever since while Stephan is an innovative restaurant industry veteran who has owned and operated thriving food establishments for more than twenty-five years.
